Another closely contested Receptionist of the Year competition came to an end at the Crowne Plaza St James
Maria Holzapfel was crowned the winner after a day of intense role plays and scrutinizing interviews from some of the most experienced front of house professionals in the London hotel industry.
London was widely represented in the final, with contestants from Mandarin Oriental, The Andaz, Chancery Court, The Mayfair Hotel, Claridges and Sofitel St James. However, it was Marriott Grosvenor Square that had the edge over the other contestants with Maria Holzapfel.
Maria, originally from Germany, was delighted at the news of becoming this year's champion and is looking forward to the global competition in Prague in January.
