Please complete this application form and submit it to your Reception Manager or Front Office Manager and General Manager for their authorisation to participate in this competition. The person putting you forward must be a paid up member of the association.
Your completed application form should be received no later than 14th October 2011. All applications have to be signed, scanned and e-mailed to roty@aicr.co.uk. You will receive an entry number as confirmation that your application has been received. Please contact us should you not receive your entry number within 7 working days.
Terms and Conditions: All applicants must hold a permanent contract with the nominating hotel and have to be employed as a receptionist throughout the duration of the competition. Placement students are not permitted to enter. Please be aware that candidates need to be available to attend various stages of the competition which runs from 14th November 2011 to 12th December 2011 and that the person nominating candidates needs to be a fully paid up member of the association. All prizes won need to be redeemed by 31st August 2012.
• First Stage
Your completed application form will be reviewed by the AICR committee members. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 28th October 2011.
• Second Stage
Successful applicants need to be available for a second stage interview on the evening of either 14th or 15th November 2011 at a central London Hotel and must attend in full uniform.
• Finalist Announcement
All second stage candidates are required to be available on the evening of 28th November 2011 at a central London Hotel for the announcement of the finalists.
• Final Stage
The finalist interviews and role plays will be held on 12th December 2011 at a central London Hotel. All finalists should attend in uniform and be available throughout the day.
• 2011 UK Receptionist of the Year Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will be held on the evening of 12th December 2011at a central London Hotel, following the finalist interviews and role plays. All entrants and their nominating managers are requested to attend the ceremony.
The UK Receptionist of the Year 2011 will receive a personal development course and one week of cross training at a European 4* or 5* hotel. The winner is required to attend the International Competition to be held in Prague from 18th to 22nd January 2012. All travel arrangements for this will be paid for by the AICR.
