The competition will open on 6th September 2010

The Front of House Mangers Forum will be held on 1st September 2010 to help managers to prepare their candidates for the competition.

Please complete the application form in the download area and submit it to your Reception Manager, Front Office Manager or General Manager for their authorisation to participate in this competition. The person putting you forward must be a paid up member of the association. To apply, please select the Application Form Page from the Receptionist of the Year drop-down menu.

Your completed application form and essay should be received by 15th October 2010. The competition will run as follows:

First Stage

Your completed application form and essay will be reviewed by the AICR committee members.
All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 25th October 2010.

Essay Topic:
To be confirmed when the competition opens on 6th September 2010 (maximum of 500 words)

Second Stage

Those applicants that reach the next stage need to be available for an interview on either 8th or 9th November 2010 and must attend in full uniform.

Third Stage

All second stage candidates are required to be available on the afternoon of (tbc) for the announcement of the finalists.

Fourth Stage

The final interviews and role plays will be held on 29th November 2010. All finalists should attend in uniform and be available throughout the day. The winner will be announced at a reception that evening.

The UK Receptionist of the Year 2010 will receive a hotel course at the world famous Ecole Hotelier in Lausanne, Switzerland. The winner is required to attend the International Competition to be held in New Zealand 2011. All travel arrangements for this will be paid for by the AICR.
